Frequently Asked Questions

When will I receive my Executive Summary and Industry Benchmark Report?

Your Executive Summary and Industry Benchmark Report can be downloaded from 13 May 2024. There can be delays in the generation of up to 30-minutes during peak times.

Where does the data in my Executive Summary and Industry Benchmark Report come from?

Your agency may have enabled some data to be transferred automatically from the Australian Public Service Commission (APSC) to the WGEA. This includes all data which would otherwise come from the Workplace Profile, as well as data that would otherwise come from questions 1-4 of the Workforce Management Statistics. All agencies (regardless of whether they had their data transferred) would have completed the Questionnaire and questions 5-7 of the Workforce Management Statistics.

Can I customise the Industry Benchmark Report to compare my data to that of a specific industry?

Industry Benchmark Reports are based on the primary Australian and New Zealand Standard Industrial Classification (ANZSIC) industry class or division and the total employee count reported by the employer.

Which agencies are included in the Industry Benchmark Report?

Industry Benchmark Reports contain data for all employees from your Comparison Group—your Comparison Group includes other Commonwealth public sector agencies within the same employee size range.

When do we need to share the two reports with the governing body?

As soon as practicable after being notified that you can generate and download the Executive Summary and Industry Benchmark Reports.

Do we provide the two reports to the governing body as is?
