50 years after Australia’s women first won “equal pay”: how far have we come?
Join the Australian British Chamber of Commerce (ABCC) & the Workplace Gender Equality Agency (WGEA) for a business lunch in Brisbane to launch the sixth year of reporting data on workplace gender equality.
WGEA will release the sixth year of reporting data in November, in accordance with the Workplace Gender Equality Act 2012. This year is also the 50th anniversary of the historic industrial relations decision that first established the principle of “equal pay for equal work” in Australia. WGEA will present the findings from the 2018-19 reporting year and look at the trends and insights to develop a detailed picture of the state of gender equality in Australian workplaces.
This ABCC lunch will feature keynote address from Libby Lyons, Director of WGEA and the State Minister for Women, followed by a panel discussion with leading employers, gender equality experts and concludes with an audience Q&A.
